WHAT DOCTORS SAY

Dr. Sunil Gupta

In this lockdown phase, it is utmost important to keep our patients at a comfortable zone, not only for chronic ailments like diabetes, but also for follow up of acute illnesses, post-op cases, etc. I started using “Medilogy Telemedicine solution” about 3 weeks ago and I am finding it very effective and convenient as patients can talk to their doctors from their homes and get the best possible solution through video conferencing. The setup was seamless and quick.

FAQ

HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE TO SET UP?

We require some basic information from you (consultation hours, consultation charges, etc.). Once we have that, it takes ~30 minutes for your set up to be live!

IS LAPTOP REQUIRED FOR AN ONLINE CONSULTATION?

No, a cell phone works just fine. Our video conferencing technology works well even on a 3G network. Best results are of course obtained on 4G or WiFi.

HOW WILL MY PATIENTS KNOW THAT I AM AVAILABLE FOR AN ONLINE CONSULTATION?

In our experience, the best way is for them is to hear from you directly. If you have your patient database, we can help in sending them a link to your appointment booking page. Your front desk can inform the patients directly when they call. We can also help with creating posts that can be shared on Whatapp/Facebook for informing patients that you are available online.

MY PATIENTS ARE NOT USED TO ONLINE PAYMENTS, WILL THEY BE ABLE TO USE THE SYSTEM?

Yes! We have served a lot of patients from remote areas who do not have credit/debit cards. They still are able to make online payments through UPI and wallets. In case they are unable to make payments, we reach out to them and help them in the process. In fact, we are eager to serve such patients who have limited access to quality healthcare.

IS THIS SERVICE AVAILABLE ONLY FOR THE LOCKDOWN PERIOD?

No, we intend to keep this running even beyond the current lockdown imposed by the government. We believe that in the coming days, telemedicine consultations will become a routine form of engagement with the patient, especially if the patient lives remotely. Allowing patients to consult online is convenient and allows you to stay connected with them more often.

DO YOU SHARE PATIENT DATA WITH OTHERS?

The short answer is NO. You are the owner of your patient data. The Web-OPD is a pure extension of your physical presence into the online world. We are not a marketplace and our business model does not rely on sharing your data with other healthcare providers. Our focus is on helping doctors serve their patients better rather than sourcing new patients for any particular doctor.

HOW DO YOU ENSURE THE CYBER-SAFETY OF THE VIDEO CONFERENCE?

We use video conferencing technologies that support end-to-end encryption and are hosted on data centers in India.

YOU CHARGE THE PATIENT UPFRONT, IS IT POSSIBLE TO REFUND THE CONSULTATION CHARGES?

Yes, we are able to refund the consultation charges for patients if you would like us to.
